MoreLike Terms of Service
Effective: 2 September 2026
These are the terms for using MoreLike (morelike.ai). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. They're short on purpose.
What MoreLike is
MoreLike is a personal tracker for what you watch, used primarily through an AI assistant you connect (Claude, ChatGPT, or any compatible client). It stores your library, answers your assistant's requests about it, and recommends things you might like. It's currently free, and it's an independent project run by a small team — if that ever changes (paid tiers, for instance), existing users get clear notice first.
Your account
Be at least 13. Give a real email address you control — it's how you sign in and how deletion is authorized. Keep your sign-in codes and access tokens to yourself: anything done with your credentials counts as you. One account per person is the intent.
Your data is yours
Your watch history, ratings, notes, and lists belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them for one purpose: running MoreLike for you. We don't sell them, don't use them for advertising, and don't train AI models on them. Delete your account and that permission ends with it (the Privacy Policy explains the timing, including the 30-day backup expiry).
Your AI assistant acts for you
When you approve an assistant's access to MoreLike, what it then reads or changes in your library is on your instruction — including anything it does with that data outside MoreLike, which is governed by the assistant's own terms. Approve access only for assistants you trust, and revoke access (in the assistant's settings, and on your account page for tokens) when you stop using one.
Fair use
Don't do these: break into or probe the service; use someone else's account or data; hammer the service past its published rate limits or work around them; mass-extract the catalog (the metadata comes from TMDB and TVmaze under their licenses and isn't ours — or yours — to redistribute); resell access; or use MoreLike for anything illegal. We can suspend or close accounts that do.
The catalog
Show and movie metadata comes from The Movie Database (TMDB) — MoreLike uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB — with air dates from TVmaze (CC BY-SA) and streaming availability data by JustWatch. It's as accurate as its sources; expect occasional gaps, and treat recommendations as suggestions, not promises.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time, on your account page, effective immediately. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and — because MoreLike is an independent project — we reserve the right to change or discontinue the service; if we ever discontinue it, we'll give you reasonable notice and time to get your data out.
No warranty, limited liability
MoreLike is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate, fast, and available, but we don't guarantee any of those, and to the maximum extent the law allows we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of a free service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
Changes and law
If these terms change materially, notice goes up on the site before the change takes effect; continuing to use MoreLike after that means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
