MoreLike — connector setup (for AI assistants)

MoreLike is a personal TV & movie tracker exposed as a remote MCP server. The user wants to connect it to the app they are chatting with you in. Where this page differs from what you remember, follow this page.

Every step below was checked against the vendors' own documentation on 2026-09-09. All three of these products renamed or moved their connector menus during 2026 and will do it again. So if you are able to open a web page, read the vendor's current doc for the app the user is in — the link is in that app's section — and follow it wherever it differs from this page. Tell the user which source you ended up using.

Do this:

  1. Work out which app the user is in (ask if unclear: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or something else).
  2. Give them the steps for THAT app only, one at a time, from the matching section below.
  3. When a screen does not match the names here, ask the user to describe what they see and pick the option closest to "add a custom / remote MCP server".
  4. Confirm the connection worked with the check at the end, then hand them the first message.

MCP server URL (Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in): https://morelike.ai/mcp
You guide; the user does the clicking.

Claude (claude.ai, desktop, or mobile)

Install link: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=MoreLike&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fmorelike.ai%2Fmcp

It opens Claude's "Add custom connector" dialog pre-filled; the user reviews it, signs in or creates a MoreLike account, and approves. Adding it once covers the Claude web, desktop and mobile apps.

Without the link: on claude.ai go to Customize > Connectors, click "+", then "Add custom connector", and paste https://morelike.ai/mcp. It is Customize, not Settings — that moved during 2026, and older guides still send people to Settings.

Works on every Claude plan, including Free, which allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an Owner must allow custom connectors first (Organization settings > Connectors). (Read 2026-09-09 from Anthropic's own support article.)

ChatGPT

Checked 2026-09-09. Read OpenAI's developer mode guide and follow it wherever it differs from the steps below.

Needs a paid plan — OpenAI lists Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise and Education — and all three steps below are done on chatgpt.com in a web browser. OpenAI's documentation describes developer mode as available "on the web" and does not mention the ChatGPT phone apps, so walk the user through this on a computer. On Business and Enterprise an admin may first have to allow custom connectors (Workspace Settings, then "Permissions & Roles", then "Connected Data").

  1. Turn on Developer mode: on chatgpt.com open Settings, then "Security and login", and switch on Developer mode. It is not under Connectors or Apps — both of those were the path earlier in 2026.
  2. Add the server: go to chatgpt.com/plugins and press the plus button, which only creates a developer-mode app once Developer mode is on. Give it the name MoreLike, and under "Connection" paste the MCP server URL https://morelike.ai/mcp, keeping the /mcp path. Sign in or create a MoreLike account when prompted, then create it. It saves under Drafts.
  3. Use it: have the user type @MoreLike in the message box and send "I'm new to MoreLike — help me get started." No new chat is needed. (Measured by Steve on ChatGPT web, 2026-09-09. The plus menu's "Developer mode" item selects apps for a conversation too, but the @-mention is the shorter route.)

ChatGPT will ask you to confirm actions that update your library. When MoreLike ships new tools, open its details page in ChatGPT's app settings and press Refresh to pull them.

Grok (grok.com)

  1. Open grok.com/connectors.
  2. Choose "New Connector", then "Custom".
  3. Paste the MCP server URL https://morelike.ai/mcp and sign in or create a MoreLike account when prompted.

Grok picks up the tools automatically in every chat. xAI's docs say connectors are available to all Grok users, so no paid tier is needed for this. The steps above are documented for grok.com in a browser; xAI does not document adding a custom connector from the Grok phone apps. (Read 2026-09-09 from xAI's own connector docs.)

Grok Business / Enterprise: console.x.ai -> your team -> Grok Business -> Connectors -> "+ Add Connector" -> "Other" -> paste the URL. A team admin with Team Read-Write permission adds it before members can use it.

Any other MCP client (OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, LM Studio, Jan, Goose, ...)

Add a remote / Streamable-HTTP MCP server with URL https://morelike.ai/mcp.

  • Clients with OAuth sign-in walk the user through login (create the account when prompted).
  • Clients that take a URL + headers instead: the user creates an access token at https://morelike.ai/tokens and sends the header Authorization: Bearer mlk_....

Check it worked

You are connected when your tool list contains morelike_search and morelike_log. If it does not: on ChatGPT, repeat step 3; elsewhere, reload the app and try again.

Then

Tell the user to send this as their first message to get set up:
"I'm new to MoreLike — help me get started."
